The Navajo Alphabet

Navajo uses the Latin alphabet with several additions. Special characters include high-tone vowels (á, é, í, ó), nasal vowels (ą, ę, į, ǫ), and the lateral fricative ł. The glottal stop ʼ is also a distinct sound.

How to Use

  • Search — Type any Navajo or English word. Diacritics are optional; searching "hozho" will find "hózhó."
  • Browse — Tap a letter to see all words starting with it.
